SET DRESSING + ART DEPARTMENT

I joined the Art Department of RATS! as a Set Dresser, helping create the detailed, offbeat world of the film alongside the production design and props teams. Before filming, I helped plan, build, and prepare the sets and props needed for each scene. During production, I worked closely with the Prop Master to position and reset elements within the frame, maintain visual continuity, and make adjustments as scenes evolved.

I also managed practical Art Department logistics, including tracking expenses and receipts, processing returns, and helping the team stay within its allocated budget. The role combined creative problem-solving with hands-on construction, organization, and close collaboration—supporting environments that felt believable, visually cohesive, and connected to the film’s story. Set in 2010 in Fresno, Texas, RATS! follows a young graffiti artist who becomes tangled in an increasingly chaotic series of events after leaving county jail.
